Underage Party at Bridge
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff's Office.  "On August 31, 2013 at 0238 hours Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies and an officer from the Myrtle Point Police Department responded to 51296 Hatfield Road, in the Bridge area east of Myrtle Point, in response to a loud party reported there.  Upon arrival, Deputies located a large party where there were a number of persons under the age of twenty-one, drinking.  Many of the minors fled the scene upon arrival of police.  Contacted were 22 year old Camilo Palmas of North Bend who was arrested, cited and released for Interfering with a Peace Officer.  Derrick Yarnell, 19 YOA, WMA, Coquille; Shelby Pease, 19 YOA, WFA, Winston; Kevin Johnson,18 YOA, WMA, Coos Bay;  Dillon Rizueno, 19 YOA, WMA, Powers; and John Campbell, 20 YOA, WMA, Myrtle Point were cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.  Three other juveniles under the age of eighteen were apprehended and will be referred to the juvenile department for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.  All persons under the age of eighteen were released to a parent or responsible adult."

Probation Violation
News release from the Coos Co.Sheriff's Office.  "On 9-4-2013 at approximately 2234 hours Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 63776 Ellen Rd., Coos Bay Oregon. This was in regards to a reported dispute where a male subject was outside banging on the residence and reportedly broke a window.  Upon arrival Deputies contacted the complainant, 49 year old Sonia Robertson of Coos Bay, who stated she did not want to go to court but just wanted this to stop. She identified Shaun Nix as the suspect.  Deputies contacted 39 year old Shaun Cole Nix of Coos Bay and found he was currently on post prison supervision through Coos County Community Corrections and to be in violation of his parole. His parole office was contacted and authorized a detainer for Mr. Nix. He was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail for the probation violation only."

Campground Assault
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff's Office.  "On September 5, 2013, at about 0233 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies and Powers Police responded to China Flats, a camping area south of Powers, Oregon in response to a report of an assault.  The female victim, Sara Sutphin had obtained a broken nose and lacerations to her face as a result of being assaulted.  Through the course of the investigation, Deputies learned that Ms. Sutphin was with a party of four that had been camping in the area and been approached by the camp host due to loud noise.  After continuing to be loud, it was reported the camp host, Danny Thomas, returned with others and assaulted Sara Sutphin.  Ms. Sutphin had apparently stepped in between Danny Thomas and others of her party as they were arguing and was assaulted and strangled as a result.  Further, one of the other subjects that came to help Mr. Danny Thomas, Paul Thomas, Danny Thomas’s son held back Anthony Meier as he was attempting to defend Ms. Sutphin.  Paul Thomas was arrested for Harassment, Danny Thomas was arrested for Assault IV and Strangulation.  Both men were transported to the Coos County Jail and booked."

Shots Fired
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff's Office.  "On 09-01-13 at approximately 1916 hours, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of menacing at 60191 Confusion Hill Road, Green Acres, Coos Bay OR.   Deputies responded and contacted Heather Grass and her father Richard Kuester, both of Missouri.   Sheriff’s Deputies learned that the two were on vacation and renting the Confusion Hill residence.  It was reported to the Deputies that an unidentified female had contacted Ms. Grass and her father and confronted them making accusations that Ms. Grass and her family were making fun of the unidentified woman.  The woman advised she had a firearm with her and left.  It was explained that after the female had left they heard her fire a couple rounds.  Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to later identify the female as a neighbor, 48 year old Elizabeth Schade, also with a residence on Confusion Hill Road, Coos Bay.  Ms. Schade was arrested for two counts of menacing and two counts unlawful possession of a firearm. Elizabeth Schade was transported to the Coos County Jail where she was lodged and is being held in lieu of $40,000.00 bail."

Criminal Trespass
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff's Office.  "On 09-02-13 at approximately 1135 hours, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a criminal trespass in progress at 56010 Fairview Road, Coquille OR.  Upon arriving deputies contacted the owners of the residence , the Goche’s and were advised that a male subject known to them as 45 year old Joseph Norris of Coos Bay showed up unannounced at their residence and barged into the home and would not leave upon request.  As a result of the investigation Joseph Albert Norris was taken into custody for criminal trespass in the first degree. He was transported to the Coos County Jail and was lodged and was later released on a criminal citation."

Criminal Trespass
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff's Office.  "On September 1, 2013, at about 0056 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Up The Creek Tavern, located at 265 S. 8th St, Lakeside, Coos County, Oregon in response to a report of Criminal Trespass that had occurred. Multiple witnesses confirmed 32 year old Robert Bogart of lakeside had violated his No Trespass orders and had entered the Tavern. Robert Bogart was arrested and transported to Coos County Jail without incident and booked on the charge of Criminal Trespass II."
