Wildlife Crimes

Two 17-year old male juveniles were cited for Wildlife Crimes by an Oregon State Police Game Officer Nov. 6, 5:03 p.m.  According to an OSP report, the Lakeside youth was cited for Take/Possession of Non-Game Wildlife – Misdemeanor and Hunting While Suspended – Misdemeanor.  The North Bend youth was cited for Take/Possession of Non-Game Wildlife.

DUII

A 36-year old Roseburg female was arrested for DUII following a single-vehicle accident involving a blue Hyundai on Gaylord Road and Yellow Creek Lane in Powers Nov. 9, 11:12 p.m.  According to an OSP report, Judy Omerette Morris was eastbound when she failed to maintain control of the vehicle.  It “travled up an earthen embankment, struck and severed a utility pole and overturned.  Operator was exhibiting signs of impairment and admitted consuming alcohol.  She incurred non life-threatening injuries and was transported to Coquille Valley Hospital by ambulance.”  Omerette Morris was treated and medically cleared before being placed into custody for DUII and Reckless Driving.  She was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille and additionally cited for DWS-Violation and No Insurance.

False info

A game violation investigation Nov. 10, 2:18 p.m., led to an arrest.  According to an OSP report, a suspect vehicle was located on the Coos River Hwy. (SR 241) and stopped on a “probable cause of a wildlife crime.  During the investigation, I identified all involved persons.  The operator of the vehicle identified himself as Tracy L. Phillips.  After breaking contact at the conclusion of the wildlife investigation, I learned that the operator was actually Clifford Alan Phillips.  I contacted Clifford Phillips at his mother’s residence and arrested him for False Information to a Police Officer.”  He was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille given citations for False Info and No Operator’s license.

No license

A white Toyota 4Runner was impounded Nov. 11, 6:57 p.m., Broadway Ave. & Newmark St., North Bend, following a traffic stop.  According to an OSP report, “a vehicle was impounded after I learned that the operator did not have valid privileges to drive and did not have insurance.”  Twenty-three year old John Wayne Roberts, Coos Bay, “told me that he did not have money to get insurance on his vehicle.  He was driving, however, to help his friend who also did not have a license.  In the interest of fulfilling our mission of traffic safety through protection of people and their property, the operator’s vehicle was impounded.”

DUII
According to an entry on the Coquille Police log for early Monday morning, Nov. 11, 12:28 a.m., Hwy. 42 & W. Central, “result of single vehicle accident,” 25-year old Jesus R. Salazar charged with DUII and Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver, and Reckless Endangering.  Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

According to an entry on the Coquille Police log for early Friday, Nov. 8, 2:51 a.m., Central near 1st, “from traffic stop,” 22-year old Justin Sero arrested on NBPD warrant charging Unlawful Possession of Meth and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Harassment

According to an entry on the Coquille Police log for Thursday, Nov. 7, 2:19 p.m., 400 block E. 10th St., 31-year old Amber Swenson arrested on charges of Harassment and Misuse of 911.  Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Fight

According to an entry on the Coquille Police log for Friday, Nov. 8, 2:38 p.m., 400 block No. Central Blvd., 66-year old David Hull arrested on charges of Menacing, Criminal Trespass II and DUII.  Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

According to an entry on the Coquille Police log for Thursday, Oct. 31, 6:03 p.m., 1200 block Shelley Road, 43-year old Angela Royal charged with Criminal Trepass and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

According to an entry on the Coquille Police log for Thursday, Oct. 31, 3:34 p.m., 23-year old female reported “sex abuse.”
